Church’s English Shoes
Church’s was founded in 1873 by Thomas Church and his three sons Alfred, William and Thomas Jr., who drew upon their family’s 200-year experience of producing handmade men’s shoes. Church’s is based in Northampton; a county which has been the centre of a flourishing leather and footwear industry since the Middle Ages.
Church’s shoes are beyond fashion. The great men’s styles such as Oxfords and brogues never date, although colours and details may vary from season to season.
Aside from the traditional collections, Church’s offers a range of styles addressed to customers looking for a fashion-forward twist. This continuous development demonstrates our ability to develop and innovate, which ensures our position as the world’s leader of top-quality Goodyear Welted Footwear.
In addition, Church’s continues to provide our clients with a full refurbishment service at our Northampton factory, using the same materials and attention as in the original manufacturing process. This service considerably extends the life of each pair of shoes which, if properly looked after, will last a lifetime.
In 1999, Church’s were taken over by Prada Group- one of the world’s leaders in the design, production and distribution of luxury handbags, leather goods, footwear, ready-to-wear apparel, accessories, eyewear and fragrances. The Group owns some of the most prestigious international brands: Prada, Miu Miu, Car Shoe and Church’s.
