A great night’s sleep provides the physical and mental refreshment a busy lifestyle requires. The quality of your bed dictates the quality of your sleep, and, by extension, that of your waking hours. This was recognised by the owners of The Savoy hotel back in 1905 when they commissioned our famous No2 bed for their rooms, and for over 100 years luminaries as diverse as Sir Winston Churchill, Giacomo Puccini and Marilyn Monroe have experienced the cloud-like comfort of our hand-crafted beds. So when the hotel was refurbished in 2010 it was no surprise that Savoir Beds was commissioned to make beds for the hotels Royal Suite and River Side suites.
Constructed using the finest materials – long-curled horsetail, Mongolian cashmere, lamb’s wool and cotton – Savoir beds are made to order in London and Cardiff using time-honoured skills passed down through generations. And because every bed is made to order, Savoir can ensure that the style, as well as the comfort, meets your needs. Purchasing and owning a Savoir is a unique experience. The starting point is always a ‘fitting’ at one of our stores where our expertly trained staff will discuss your needs and test you and your partner on various models and support options. Of course, everyone has different requirements, and there is no ‘one size fits all’.
Savoir’s beds are now available in showrooms around the world. The promise, however, remains the same: be it a bed destined for a client in London, New York or Shanghai, quality remains paramount. And as owner and managing director Alistair Hughes comments: “every bed is made for a particular client, with just one craftsman working on each mattress to ensure the very best result”.
The wonderful Savoy heritage, a dedication to the finest natural materials and craftsmanship as well as the central importance of bespoke production for a truly exclusive bed all help to ensure every Savoir Bed delivers its raison d’être: lovely, restful sleep.
